Dmitry sh1ro Sokolov, the talented sniper for Team Spirit, took the time to share an in-depth look at his experiences from the past year. On his personal Telegram channel, he reminisced about his journey to joining the current team and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the support he has received. Additionally, he extended warm holiday wishes to his fans, celebrating the moments they’ve shared together and looking forward to the future with optimism.
“When the year started, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This year was a major turning point for me – not only did I move to a new team, Team Spirit, but I also took a chance on a completely new game. At first, I was full of questions about how I would adapt to CS2 and whether I would be able to find my footing. However, looking back, I can confidently say that this year has been nothing short of a success.
I’d like to share a few thoughts about our journey at Team Spirit. From the very first moment I stepped into this team environment, I immediately felt a sense of belonging. It was clear where I needed to stop. I dove head-on into the work, fully committing to the process, and felt a refreshing reset after my time at Cloud9. The support I received from the entire organization was invaluable. Each player is unique in their tactical play in a fight.
When we first began playing together, I made it a priority to share the insights I had gathered throughout my career. Right from the start, the entire team was open to my ideas, which was incredibly encouraging. Everyone was genuinely attentive to what I had to say, and as it turned out, this was vital for me. From day one, when I teamed up with Lena [chopper], we spent countless hours discussing our approach to the game. We were both eager to explore the journey we could embark on together. Of course, I focus on the positive experiences, but it’s important to acknowledge that our team faced challenging times as well. Those moments not only tested us but also provided invaluable lessons that significantly enhanced our collaboration and bond with one another. Through both the highs and lows, we’ve developed a deeper understanding of teamwork and what it means to support each other, which has ultimately made us stronger as a unit.
I can confidently say that this year has been truly remarkable for me in terms of personal achievements and growth. Every challenge I have been through has helped me become a better version of myself. As the new year approaches, I truly wish for each of you to pursue your dreams with unwavering determination and never lose hope because the goals you have worked so hard for will eventually become a reality.
