2024 was a real triumph for Russian eSportsman Danil “donk” Kryshkovets. The Team Spirit player was awarded the title of the best Counter-Strike player at the HLTV Awards 2024, beating the most famous opponents from around the world. But the young talent’s success did not end there.
At the prestigious awards, Kryshkovets collected a whole bunch of awards. In addition to the title of best player of the year, he was recognized as the best open fragger (specialist in first kills in rounds), rookie of the year, and also received an award for the best moment of the year. Such an impressive set of achievements made donk a central figure in the eSports scene of the outgoing year.
The second place in the ranking of the best players was taken by another representative of Russia – Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, playing for G2 Esports. His skill and consistently high level of play did not go unnoticed. The legendary French player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut from Team Vitality rounded out the top three.
For Danil, this year was special not only due to his personal achievements. In December, he won the main CS2 tournament in China with Team Spirit. This triumph strengthened Team Spirit’s position as one of the strongest teams in the world and emphasized donk’s star status.
The success of Russian players such as donk and m0NESY shows that Russia remains one of the leading countries in the world of eSports. The new champion conquers the peaks confidently and brightly, demonstrating that nothing is impossible for talented people with great motivation and hard work.
